WWE Superstars Tye Dillinger & Cedric Alexander Issue Statement Apologizing For Inappropriate Tweets That Resurfaced This Week
Reports came out yesterday that showed screen grabs of old tweets from 2011-2012 that featured current WWE Superstars Tye Dillinger and Cedric Alexander making inappropriate jokes and comments about rape.
Both Tye Dillinger and Cedric Alexander have responded to the reports regarding their old tweets that have now resurfaced 6 to 7 years later. The two issued apologies for their remarks and explained how neither of them are the same person they were back then. A similar situation recently made news when Movie Director James Gunn was fired from Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 after old tweets of his were dug up and began to circulate online.
You can see the statements issued from Dillinger & Alexander regarding the tweets they made nearly a decade ago embedded below.
I have no excuse for my old tweets. I was a different person six years ago, and I’m beyond ashamed at what I considered “humor” . I’m so damn embarrassed and I’m truly sorry to anyone I’ve offended.

Six years ago I found "humor" in bad jokes. At the time it was a harmless joke between friends. In those 6 years I've become a father, husband & grown into a much different man. I have offended and hurt many with my past and for that I am deeply sorry & apologize for my actions
