As we saw on SmackDown LIVE a couple weeks ago, General Manager Paige fired James Ellsworth after he made fun of Paige for how pale she is.
Since his “firing”, WWE has mentioned Ellsworth a few times and even used his entrance music as a distraction tool for Carmella, although he has not appeared on WWE programming since he was fired. Ellsworth has been working the indy circuit since his first departure from WWE, however he never stopped working the indies even when he was brought back to WWE for his second run. It was reported that Ellsworth was working on a per-appearance deal with the company, but it now appears as though WWE has decided to put the Ellsworth character back on the shelf.
WWE has officially moved James Ellsworth’s bio to the Alumni section of their website. Of course, there is always a chance they could move his bio back to the active roster section, but for now anyway it seems as though we have seen the last of James Ellsworth on SmackDown.
