Matt Hardy Reportedly Not Retiring From Wrestling
As was reported over the weekend, WWE Superstar Matt Hardy revealed on his official twitter account that he has been dealing with a rather unusual and crazy sounding injury.
Hardy posted a video of an old double team move that he and his brother Jeff used to execute called “Event Omega”, and revealed that the move was probably part of the reason that his lower back and pelvis have began fusing together.
You can see Matt’s tweet below.
This maneuver was called EVENT OMEGA..
And is most likely the reason that I’ve recently learned that my lower back & pelvis have started fusing together. pic.twitter.com/FzYebvIIc0

While the injury sounds extremely painful, Hardy is said to be in pain but not “terrible pain”. He is to begin rehab treatment which is expected to help in his recovery. It is also said that everything right now is kinda being “played by ear” in regards to the treatment.
Hardy also posted a cryptic tweet this weekend thanking the fans for supporting him over the last 26 years, which lead many to speculate that he could be retiring soon.
You can see the tweet in reference below.
To all that supported me in the independents & OMEGA..
To the fans of Team Xtreme..
To the Mattitude Followers..
To the OUTSPOKEN fans who brought me back in 2005..
To the people who backed me when I was REINCARNATED in pro wrestling..
To the #WOKEN Warriors..
THANK YOU. pic.twitter.com/YkEILcoZh8

While Hardy is in pain, he’s not in “terrible pain” and will be undergoing rehab treatment that should help him recover. Everything is being played by ear right now in regards to that treatment.
The belief is that the tweets could be an indication that he may not be wrestling forever but there currently are no plans for him to retire in the immediate future.
