Backstage Heat On Velveteen Dream Over His Tights Worn At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV
As seen on NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, The Velveteen Dream made quite the impact both with his performance during the match, and his custom ring gear that he had made special for TakeOver.
Velveteen Dream sported some custom airbrushed tights which read “Call Me Up Vince” across the backside. Announcers made numerous comments and references to his ring gear during the match, and Mauro even said that with his performance tonight that he very may soon be getting that call, referring to his message airbrushed on his tights.
According to our friend Brad Shepard, it appears as though Velveteen Dreams gear also got the attention of some WWE officials backstage and not in a good way. Apparently Officials were not happy with Dream’s tights once they found out what was written on them, and that there is some heat over the matter.
Brad said, “I was told a few people in #WWE weren’t happy about Velveteen Dream’s tights once they found out. Instant heat. #CallMeUpVince #NXTTakeOver #SummerSlam”
