Changes Reportedly Made To Finish Of Last Night’s TakeOver: Brooklyn IV Main Event During The Match
As we saw last night at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, Tommaso Ciampa was victorious in defending his NXT Championship over Johnny Gargano in a Last Man Standing Match.
During a recent audio update via PWInsider Elite, the finish of last night’s NXT Championship was discussed. Mike Johnson commented on the match and revealed that there were some slight changes made on the fly to the ending of the match. Johnson didn’t go into detail and elaborate exactly what those changes were, however he did mention that the plan was always for Ciampa to retain his title over Gargano at TakeOver.
Regarding the changes made to the ending of the Last Man Standing Match for the NXT Championship between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, Johnson said:
“So the answer to the big question. Was Gargano getting the belt? No. Was that the planned finish? No but I was told by the person I spoke with that they didn’t want to go into detail and I don’t want to give it away in case they want to use it as a finish later down the line.”
