As we saw last night at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, Matt Riddle debuted with the company when he appeared in the crowd at ringside and was officially announced as joining the NXT roster.
Riddle was shown wearing a suit and ball cap, but what we were unable to see was his choice of footwear, a pair of green flip-flops. Riddle’s flip-flops were apparently the cause of some laughter backstage.
Our friend Brad Shepard mentioned Riddle’s footwear being laughed at backstage on his twitter account, which you can see below.

Following TakeOver, Triple H participated in a Facebook LIVE interview with Cathy Kelly, where he too cracked a joke at Matt Riddle’s choice of footwear for the event. Triple H joked that Riddle was at the event for the sale on green flip-flops that they were running at the merchandise stands during the show.
