Last night at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, The Velveteen Dream and EC3 put on a spectacular match. There has been a lot of talk following their match, not only because of their performance but also because of the custom airbrushed ring attire Dream wore. While Dream had the message “Call Me Up Vince” on his tights, it appears as though it may be EC3 that is getting the call up.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed their match from TakeOver and commented on the possibility of a main roster call up. Regarding EC3, Meltzer said:
“EC3 lost so I wonder if he’s going to the main roster. Because I’ve heard his name. You know how things go, they make decisions and they change their minds. I heard his name in the last week. But there’s a lot of names I’ve heard, so that will be interesting.”
