It had previously been reported that WWE had narrowed down the host city for the 2019 SummerSlam PPV to two cities, and that they were on opposite ends of the map. We had added that we had heard that one of the cities, and favorite to be named host was Toronto, which was also reported by our friends at Barn Burner and the No Holds Barred podcast.
In an update, Barn Burner is reporting that WWE is planning to make the 2019 SummerSlam announcement next week when the company is in Toronto. They also confirm that Toronto will be named host of the 2019 WWE SummerSlam PPV.
The Report stated, “BarnBurner Exclusive: We have learned That an Announcement regarding #SummerSlam 2019 will be made next week in Toronto, While @Wwe is in Toronto. #SummerSlam 2019 will be on August 18, 2019”
