What Was The Attendance For Last Night’s SummerSlam PPV?
WWE announced Sunday that the total number of those in attendance for the 2018 SummerSlam PPV from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New Yor was 16,169.
This year’s numbers were just slightly up from last year’s attendance for the 2017 WWE SummerSlam PPV which was also held at the Barclays Center was 16,128. This is just a 41 person difference in attendance between this year and last year’s SummerSlam pay-per-views held in the same location.
The 2018 SummerSlam PPV marked the fourth consecutive year that WWE has held their annual pay-per-view in Brooklyn. Attendance the last two years however continues the upward trend, with 2015 pulling in 15,072 fans, and the 2016 SummerSlam PPV drew 15,974.
It had been reported over the weekend that WWE plans to announce the location of the 2019 SummerSlam next week when the company is in Toronto. It is expected that the announcement will be that Toronto has been selected as the next host city, marking the first time SummerSlam has been held outside New York since 2014.
