Jim Ross Thinks Of Velveteen Dream As WrestleMania Main-Eventer
On his podcast The Jim Ross Report, Jim Ross went over Velveteen Dream’s recent run as an exceptional charismatic superstar on NXT. The Hall of Famer went on to say that the Dream is “phenomenal” and JR is sure that he is going to be at the “top of the card at WrestleMania.”

“This kid is going to be phenomenal.” Ross acknowledged, “he’s getting there very quick. Mark my words, maybe two or three years, maybe a little longer, not much, top of the card at WrestleMania. Too much charisma, too much athleticism. He’s unique. He [has] reinvented himself. He’s not afraid to try bold things and most male wrestlers in the business find their comfort zone, their routine, their moves, it’s like having a set of songs at a concert. You’re not going to change the order. You won’t change nothing while it’s working type of deal. I like this kid.”
Velveteen Dream also recently drew flak from WWE officials according to a backstage report.
During NXT TakeOver Chicago IV, Dream came up in tights that said “Call Me Up Vince.” Brad Shepard reported that officials were not happy with Dream’s move.
Dream’s future in the WWE remains to be seen. But do you agree with Ross’ comments? Let us know in the comments below!
