According to a recent report from PWInsider, WWE recently filed a large number of trademarks, which not only included trademarks for members of the main roster but also talent from NXT.
With WWE filing trademarks relating to members of their NXT roster, it has left many fans speculating that this is an indication that a main roster call-up is imminent for those Superstars. Typically, NXT Superstars do not have trademarks filed for their names or likeness until their future with the company has been cemented.
The report states that WWE recently filed trademarks for the following NXT Superstars: Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish of The Undisputed Era, NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane, and former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. It should be noted that all of these NXT Superstars are either current champions or former champions.
As far as trademarks that WWE has filed that involved main roster talents, the list includes: Mike Kanellis, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Sarah Logan, Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dane, Bobby Lashley, and Corey Graves.
Also, WWE filed an additional ECW trademark for clothing purposes.
