Matt Hardy Receives Send-Off At Recent WWE Live Event In Rochester
As has been reported over the last few weeks, WWE Superstar Matt Hardy has been dealing with a rather serious injury, as he revealed that Dr’s have told him that his lower back has began fusing with his tailbone/pelvis. Hardy has taken a step back from in-ring competition and has been working backstage in a producer role while he heals and rehabs his current injuries.
Hardy’s wife, Reby was recently interviewed on Busted Open and she revealed that Matt’s contract expires in March of next year, and that he has indeed already began participating in some backstage production roles. Hardy even worked backstage as a producer over SummerSlam weekend, and backstage interviewer Mike Rome posted a picture of himself and Hardy backstage showing Matt going over notes with him. Rome thanked Matt for everything he has done for him throughout his career.
While it seems as though Matt Hardy’s in-ring career is winding down as he now is focusing more on a role backstage, he recently received a send off during a WWE Live Event in Rochester. Hardy RT’d a picture a fan posted of himself and Bray Wyatt at the event in what appeared to be a farewell for Hardy. Hardy wrote, “Thank you for a WONDERFUL & HEARTWARMING send off tonight, #WWERochester. I appreciate you.”
