Backstage Reaction To Jason Sensation’s Suicide Threat Last Night During RAW
As we reported yesterday former WWE Talent Jason Sensation tweeted that he had snuck a gun through security at last night’s RAW in Toronto and that he planned to kill himself during the broadcast. It turned out to be a “joke” and that he was never in attendance for RAW.
For those who may not remember Jason Sensation, he appeared in WWE back in the late 1990’s during a DX segment where he dressed up and impersonated Owen Hart. Which you can see a photo of below.
Last night I once again joined Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred podcast as a guest co-host, and the incident was discussed during the show. Host Joseph Peisich was at RAW and backstage last night, and he spoke about the situation and how it was handled backstage and in the arena.
Joseph mentioned that Police took the threat very seriously, especially after the recent events that have been going on in Canada this year. Joe said that there were lots of Police and security running around back stage, and combing the crowd looking for Jason Sensation, and that people and friends backstage were calling him trying to reach him on his cell phone.
Vince Russo revealed last night that he had spoke to Jason and that he was at home and that it was just a “joke.”
Toronto Police have released a statement regarding the Jason Sensation suicide threat last night at RAW:
“There were numerous tweets to Toronto Police regarding a threat made by Jason Sensation over Twitter. We have been investigating it thoroughly. We are with Mr. Sensation now, he never was at the Scotiabank Arena, there is no concern for public safety.”
