WWE will present their 1,000th episode of SmackDown LIVE on October 16th, from the Capitol One Arena in Washington D.C. It was previously reported on Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred podcast that WWE was planning on having The Undertaker appear at SmackDown 1000.
In an updated to WWE’s plans for SmackDown 1000, it now appears as though another HUGE name is being discussed for a return that night. According to Joseph Peisich of Barn Burner, former WWE Superstar The Rock is close to reaching a deal that would see him appear in Washington DC on October 16th for SmackDown 100.
It was also said that WWE and The Rock are also working out deals that would see him appear at next year’s Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 35 PPV’s.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding The Rock’s return to WWE programming.
