As we saw on this week’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, following the Women’s Title rematch between Charlotte Flair and Carmella, Becky Lynch once again attacked Charlotte from behind.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discusses Becky’s promo, and talks about how WWE must have known the crowd would react the way they did for her.
Regarding Becky Lynch’s current storyline, Alvarez said:
“Look, how many time has Roman Reigns been out there for a promo and he’s getting booed out of the building? What the one thing that every time he does it he gets a giant pop? He calls someone, I’m not sure if I can say it on the air… ‘the B-Word.’”
“He’s done it countless times and every time he does it the crowd cheers. So there’s no way they could do a Becky Lynch storyline where she calls Charlotte that and they thought that was something that was going to get her booed.”
So this statement from Alvarez adds more to the debate of whether or not this was indeed a heel turn for Becky Lynch.
