In a recent interview with Wrestlezone, Gail Kim stated that she felt the need to whitewash herself because she felt that WWE didn’t see an Asian/person of a color image really marketable.
She even described that she went as far as having her hair dyed because she didn’t know how to get management to try to get her more opportunities, so she tried to be a blonde, thinking that is what they wanted.
Kim also said that the role Stephanie McMahon is playing in the WWE Women’s Revolution is a façade because if she actually cared like she does now, Stephanie would have helped her out during her WWE run.
Gail Kim did find the majority of her success when she was with TNA/Impact Wrestling becoming a 7-time Knockouts Champion and a 1-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Madison Rayne.
