Raw Recap For September 3rd, 2018
(Segment 1) Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre Kick Off Raw: Braun explained why he liked with Drew and Dolph. Braun says he has his own dogs now and is coming for the Universal Title at Hell In A Cell. The three of them looked odd together and wasn’t really feeling it with them. The Shield came out after some mouthing. Baron Corbin sent out the locker room to break up the fight between the six men. This resulted in an all out brawl between everyone. This lead to the teams getting split up but the Shield still ran after them backstage. They went to commercial then came back with the Shield getting arrested and taken out of the arena. This was a good opening segment.
(Segment 2) The Bella Twins vs The Riott Squad: We all knew the Bellas were going to win this and be showcased well. It is cool to see them back together and they will help out the women’s division pretty well. Everyone could obviously see their ring rust but still showed up well.
(Segment 3) Bobby Roode and Chad Gable vs The Ascension: WWE has given up because they just threw together Roode and Gable, I don’t like it at all. They picked up the win though and seem to be set for a push.
(Segment 4) Natalya vs Alexa Bliss: I wasn’t really looking forward to this match and didn’t expect much from it. This is just a bathroom break to me and not really a high point of the night. The match ended really bad with Bliss making her tap with the armbar that Ronda usually uses.
(Segment 5) Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre vs B-Team (Raw Tag Titles): Drew and Dolph took out the Revival backstage to replace them in this match. No one saw this coming before it happened. WWE has misused the Revival so bad and it’s not even funny, they should be tag champions. Drew and Dolph became the new tag champs
(Segment 6) AOP vs 2 Jobbers: Drake Maverick came out with AOP and said he is now their manager, he was even dressed like them. AOP won the match obviously.
(Segment 7) HBK On Raw: HBK was talking about how HHH was going to win then the gong hit and the lights went out. The Undertaker came out to give Shawn a piece of his mind. It was a really good promo from both of them. Shawn was hinting a lot about getting back in the ring. I think HBK still has one good match left in him and could do well in it. Hopefully at Survivor Series they he can face Undertaker.
(Segment 8) Dana Brooke and Ember Moon vs Sasha Banks and Bayley: I didn’t get this match because they’re all faces. This match would’ve been good if Brooke didn’t get much time. Banks and Bayley got the win via pin by roll up. Match wasn’t that great but it is what it is.
(Segment 9) Braun Strowman vs Finn Balor: I was looking immediately looking forward to this match even though Corbin announced it 20 minutes before it happened. Braun won after a pretty bad match. After he pinned Balor the Shield came out and were still looking for a fight. The entire locker room then came out to take the Shield.
