WWE announced earlier today that Jonathan Coachman has been replaced on the RAW Announce Team by Renee Young, and she will be a full-time RAW commentator going forward.
So where does this leave The Coach? He had only recently returned to the company following his tenure at ESPN, and has been allowed to work exclusively with The Golf Channel while under contract with the WWE.
It appears as though Coachman and Young have swapped jobs. WWE announced also in an article on their website that Coachman will replacing Renee Young as part of the Pay-Per-View Kickoff Show Panel. Coach will begin his new role starting this Sunday at WWE’s Hell in a Cell PPV.
Jonathan Coachman is still under contract with WWE, and will still be allowed to do other projects outside the company. We will have to see what other duties WWE gives the Coach, along with his Kickoff Show demotion.
