The future of independent wrestling stars Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix has been a hot topic of discussion over the last couple months, as there have been lots of rumors and reports that the two brothers might be heading to WWE in the near future.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on Pentagon Jr. and Fenix, and the rumors of their potential WWE run. Meltzer noted that the brothers both have contracts with Lucha Underground, and that the contract prohibits them from having talks with any other wrestling promotion like WWE. However, that could soon change..
Regarding Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix, Metlzer said:
“They’re not able to go anywhere right now and I think that when the season is up I think that they have an out and at that point. I mean people are going that they’re going to WWE and they may.”
“They may go to WWE, they may go to AAA they may go to AAA Lucha Underground. I don’t know about Ring Of Honor although both those guys would be awesome in Ring Of Honor. They’re great wrestlers.”
