Vince McMahon Scheduled To Meet With Madison Square Garden Officials Next Week
With WWE’s WrestleMania 35 PPV taking place on April 7th, 2019 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherfordton, New Jersey the entire NY/NJ area is already beginning to fill up with events and shows being booked for WrestleMania Weekend. Which may pose a problem for WWE, as the company has yet to announce the location for many of their events scheduled for WrestleMania Week and options on where WWE can hold these events are quickly running out.
WWE has yet to lockdown the venue for their WrestleMania AXXESS, Hall of Fame Ceremony, and NXT TakeOver events. Ring of Honor has already sold out their planned event for Madison Square Garden on April 6th, the night before WrestleMania, so WWE’s most notorious and popular venue in the area is now in theory no longer on the table.
According to Joseph Peisich of Barn Burner’s No Hold’s Barred podcast, Vince McMahon is now getting directly involved in the matter and has a meeting scheduled next week with Madison Square Garden Officials.
Regarding Vince McMahon’s reported meeting with MSG Officials, Peisich said:
“Vince McMahon does have a meeting in place with the people of MSG, Madison Square Garden. This is interesting as you know Ring Of Honor is at MSG on April 6th. Does McMahon throw to MSG millions of dollars to say ‘throw them out so we can have our show?’ He’s having meetings with MSG I have heard next week about this.”
“I don’t know what’s going to happen there it should be interesting because this will be the first time WWE will sort of need MSG to promote their show of their fan Axxess.”
