Why Braun Strowman Cashed In His MITB Contract So Far In Advance
The ”Monster among men” Braun Strowman had cashed in his MITB a month in advance, which resulted in him having to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Hell In A Cell. While this strategy might seem odd, there just might be a good reason for it.
On Wrestling Observer Live Bryan Alvarez discussed this topic, explaining why this was the best way to not bury a top heel while having their top star retain the championship. This is what he said:
“To me, you’re a geek if you do the out of nowhere cash-in and fail. Because when you do the out of nowhere cash-in the whole idea is the other guy already had a match and he is unprepared so you should win.”
“But Bruan Strowman, and this was somehow part of his heel turn, he challenged Roman Reigns to the match 4 weeks in advance. So technically it’s a cash-in but it’s not. They’re both going in fresh. It’s a different kind of match so I think Braun Strowman can and will lose this match. I don’t think it’s going to hurt him.”
While it is unclear what truly will transpire at Hell In A Cell, plans may or may not change considering it’s the WWE. We will have to wait and see what happens.
