Raw Recap For September 24th, 2018
(Segment 1) The Shield Kicks Off Raw: The Shield talked about how their titles are the key to the kingdom and how they run the show. Baron Corbin interrupted them with Braun, Dolph, and Drew. They were hinting real hard at Dean turning heel and it was great. The Dogs Of War kept talking about how Dean does not need the Shield. Baron did not let these teams go at each other. This was a very good opening segment.
(Segment 2) Finn Balor vs Jinder Mahal: No match with Jinder will ever be good no matter who he is facing. This match had nothing behind it and nothing fun in it, so I did not really care. Balor won via roll up pin.
(Segment 3) Bella Twins and Natalya vs Riott Squad: This is yet another match that I could care less about. Everyone knew this match was not going to be good, so there is not much to say about this match. This was a messy match. Brie Bella has to be one of the worst wrestlers I have ever seen. The Riott Squad took the win in this horrible match.
(Segment 4) Chad Gable vs Konnor: Chad Gable is a great competitor and I wish they did more with him. I do not really like him pairing with Roode, but if it means him having a feud with Bobby and winning that feud then I am ok with it. I do not get why they had Konnor win because the Ascension are just jobbers. This is why the product sucks today because they push the wrong people and have wrong people win.
(Segment 5) Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre vs The Revival (Raw Tag Titles): I like how WWE threw away the face/heel standards and went with this match. I do think the Revival should be tag champs by now but they are not, which is weird. This was a good spot for this match because it helped pick the show back up. Sadly Drew and Dolph retained and will hold the titles for a few more months.
(Segment 6) Kevin Owens Show
(Segment 7) Elias vs Bobby Lashley: I am not too excited for this match and did not think a lot would come out of it. It ended in DQ and it was not that great of a match because it got too much time. If it went a little shorter it could have been better.
(Segment 8) Nia Jax vs Alicia Fox: Another boring match I could care less about. Nia took the win.
(Segment 9) The Shield vs Baron Corbin and AOP: This is a great match up and brings a new feel to the main event scene and Raw itself. Finally AOP is doing something besides fighting jobbers every week. The Shield picked up the win. This was a great main event and I hope to see more of AOP, they did good in this match.
