WWE Veteran On 205 Live Roster Taking On New Role Backstage
It appears as though a veteran WWE Superstar Brian Kendrick has taken on a new role and responsibility within the company in addition to his spot on the 205 Live Roster.
Kendrick has apparently been working as a WWE Talent Scout as of late. According to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kendrick was present a couple weeks ago for PWG’s annual Battle of Los Angeles events alongside William Regal. It is not known exactly how long Brian Kendrick has been working as a talent scout for WWE, it is however known that he was indeed scouting talent at the 2018 BOLA.
This isn’t the first duty that Kendrick has taken on beyond his role as an active competitor on the WWE roster, as he has also worked as a trainer in the past. Kendrick took on the task of training Eva Marie to wrestle, which eventually led to WWE hiring him back to compete as part of the 205 Live roster.
It was also noted that 2018 Battle of Los Angeles winner Jeff Cobb, drew a lot of attention during the tournament from scouts. Cobb followed his impressive performance at BOLA by winning the ROH Television Title at last night’s Death Before Dishonor TV tapings in Las Vegas. Cobb also competed tonight at NJPW’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed in Long Beach, California as part of a six-man tag team match.
