In what was supposed to be the final match in their storied rivalry, it was expected Daniel Bryan and The Miz would put out a long and gruelling match. But it was the exact opposite, the match ending quicker than anyone could have hoped.
It saw Bryan winning the match, in a very simple fashion. After a back and forth, Bryan countered a Skull Crushing Finale and then rolled The Miz up in an inside cradle win and secured the victory, thus becoming the new #1 Contender for the WWE Championship.
After the match, Michael Cole announced that Daniel Bryan will challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
We will have to wait for the event to see how the match will be.
