Daniel Bryan faced off against his longtime nemesis, The Miz, at WWE Super Show-Down in order to crown the new #1 Contender for the WWE Championship. Bryan would secure the victory by using a small package for the pin. But the match was far shorter than expected, which was disappointing.
On the latest audio update of PW Insider Elite, Richard Trionfo said that the reason for the quick victory might be because of Bryan’s past. This is what he had to say:
“It got me thinking back to Daniel Bryan’s days as Bryan Danielson on the independent scene he always talked about how he had the best small package in wrestling, it can not be kicked out of. So I’m hoping what we get is leading up to AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan we’ll talk about that match cause we don’t know what’s going to happen.”
“I hope we get a bunch of Daniel Bryan matches where he just beats people with the small package. So it kind of takes away from the flying knee.”
While there might be other reasons for the short match, what matters is that Daniel will face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at WWE Crown Jewel.
