New IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Crowed At King Of Pro Wrestling Event
Former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi had to relinquish his title after suffering a broken neck thanks to landing on his neck in his match against Dragon Lee at G1 Climax this year. So a match between KUSHIDA and Marty Scurll was held at NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling in order to crown a new champion.
KUSHIDA gave it his all in a stupendous match, in which the momentum shifted back and forth and it was hard to tell who would pick up the win. He was victorious in the match and is now the new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion. This is his 6th time winning the title.
