Asuka was on fire once she made her debut on the main roster, with her undefeated streak. But once that came to an end in Wrestlemania this year, she’s been going through a downward spiral. She recently lost to the Iiconics in a tag team match at WWE Super Show-Down, showing how far she has fallen.
Asuka is seen on television always but the main reason for her not getting a push is because of her poor English speaking skills.
Dave Scherer discussed this in the latest audio update from PW Insider Elite, and this is what he said, in a reply to Mike Johnson:
“Oh there’s tons for her right now, he just doesn’t want to — she doesn’t speak good English, I mean say what you want but that’s the bottom line. If she spoke good English I think she would be getting more. He wants you to be able to cut promos.”
The ”he” being Vince McMahon, of course. We know how vital promos are in WWE and Vince pushes those who are strong in that department. Seeing as Asuka is poor there, it’s of no surprise she has not been receiving any pushes as of late. We hope she improves her English soon enough.
