Former IMPACT Knockouts Champion Chelsea Green, or as she was known in IMPACT – Laurel Van Ness, received a WWE Performance Center tryout back in June. It has been reported and is heavily rumored that she has signed or will sign with the WWE soon.
Currently nothing has been confirmed from Green or WWE. It was reported in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Chelsea Green was at the WWE Performance Center this week, there was no mention of her signing a contract. However, they did mention that after her performance at ALL IN, that “anyone who saw her at ALL IN from WWE would have wanted her in.”
It should be noted however that these are just rumors that she has signed with WWE. Green is currently competing for Lucha Underground under the ring name “Reklusa Queen of the Arachnids”, and that Lucha Underground has known to have locked their talent into deals which would prohibit them from working for a company such as WWE historically. But there is always the possibility that Green has a different type of deal worked out with Lucha Underground than those of other talents in the past.
Chelsea’s store at Pro Wrestling Tee’s is also still online and active at the time of this writing. This was not been the case previously for talents that have signed with WWE, such as Ricochet Matt Riddle, Adam Cole, The Hardy’s and others.
For those who didn’t know, Chelsea Green is currently involved with WWE Superstar Zack Ryder, the two have been together for quite awhile and share a home in the Orlando, Florida area. Which is also the area which happens to be the location of the WWE Performance Center.
