It has been heavily rumored and reported on that former WWE Superstar The Rock is expected to make an appearance in some capacity on tonight’s special 1000th episode of SmackDown LIVE.
While nothing has been confirmed, The Rock’s potential appearance tonight was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer mentions that while The Rock is currently filming a movie, a Fast & The Furious spinn-off, that he could still appear in a taped vignette of some kind.
Regarding The Rock appearing on tonight’s SmackDown 1000, Meltzer said:
“I would presume there is going to be a taped interview with Dwayne Johnson — I don’t know if he’s going to be there because he’s doing a movie, I would presume so.”
We will keep you update if we hear anything more about The Rock or other appearances for tonight’s special Smackdown 1000.
