Smackdown 1000 saw Edge make his return and as did his talk show, The Cutting Edge. His reason for the show was so that he could talk some sense into Becky Lynch.
He explained to Becky that giving up her friendship with Charlotte Flair isn’t worth it and she shouldn’t step on people because he did the same and he ended up with a wall full of championships and no friends.
Then Lynch said that she doesn’t like herself but loves herself and told Edge to get out of her ring, advising him not to hurt his neck going through those ropes.
After Edge left, Charlotte Flair came down to the ring and the two began to brawl. The rest of the segment was the two superstars being pulled apart as that is the norm in feuds nowadays in WWE.
