Kevin Owen’s WrestleMania 35 Status In Jeopardy After Double-Knee Surgery This Week
As we have been reporting Kevin Owens was recently written off television when he was viciously attacked during Bobby Lashley’s heel turn. Lashley wrapped Owens legs around the ring post following their match, while Lio Rush barked orders and talked trash to Owens on the mic.
It was reported earlier that Kevin Owens was to undergo double knee surgery, which Owens posted a picture to his twitter account on Wednesday joking that they were having a 2 for 1 sale going on at the surgery store.

In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter it was reported that Kevin Owens has already began rehab on his knees following surgery earlier this week. However, it now appears as though his injuries may keep out him out action longer than expected, as it is now believed he may even miss next year’s WrestleMania 35.
The early projected timetable for his return was putting him back in the ring by late February to early March. However there were others who have placed his return more in the April area at worst. But both of these projections are uncertain and not set in stone, but what is concerning is that he is being discussed as missing up to 3 months of action at best, which could indeed put his WrestleMania availability at risk.
The report when on to note that by the time Owens would be set to return that the WrestleMania card is usually already booked. Meaning that the time Kevin Owens would need to come back to begin his program for WrestleMania may have passed by then. The hope is still that Owens will be back in time for WrestleMania so that WWE can “book him in something significant on the show”.
We will have to wait and see how his rehabilitation process goes and hopefully barring any setbacks Owens will be back in time for WrestleMania. We will keep you update when more news regarding Kevin Owens injury and timetable for return is known.
