While promoting UFC 230 in Las Vegas, it has been confirmed that Daniel Cormier will have a future WWE tryout as a commentator. He said that he had to postpone a WWE tryout to be a commentator so that he could train for UFC 230 but he will definitely go for it after his fight. He expressed his excitement in being a commentator. Fightful quoted Cormier saying:
“If I didn’t have this fight, I have been talking to the WWE because they wanted me to go in and do an audition as a member of the commentary team. Because of the fight, I had to push it back. There may be some DC in WWE shit coming. After the fight, I’ll go to Orlando and do my tryout.”
While he may not be working as a wrestler, him being a commentator could still be a very interesting thing if he does indeed go through with it. Needless to say, it depends on WWE and we will have to wait and see what happens.
