John Cena & Daniel Bryan Reportedly Refusing To Work Crown Jewel Event In Saudi Arabia
By now you probably are aware of all the controversy surrounding WWE’s upcoming Crown Jewel PPV coming up on November 2nd from Saudi Arabia.
Robbie Fox from Barstool Sports reported earlier today that WWE’s Crown Jewel PPV might once again be in trouble. Robbie reported that Roman Reigns is injured, and that both Daniel Bryan and John Cena are “refusing” to work the Crown Jewel event. He added that many others on the WWE roster have also expressed concern with going to Saudi Arabia, but that obviously none of them have the power that a John Cena or Daniel Bryan does.
Robbie said:
“WWE Crown Jewel could be in trouble.
I was just told Reigns is currently injured and that Cena and Bryan are “refusing” to work the show. Many on the current WWE roster have expressed concerned with going, as well, but obviously not all of them have the power like Cena/Bryan.”
You can see his tweet below.

This is interesting as it was also reported earlier this morning that Roman Reigns missed this weekends WWE Live events, and at the time there was no reason given for Reigns missing the three events that he had previously been advertised for.
Our friend Brad Shepard has confirmed Robbie Fox’s report, and added some further details. You can see Brad’s tweets below.
I have confirmed Robbie Barstool’s report regarding #WWECrownJewel. A source in WWE indicated that Roman Reigns is hurt, which is why he was off house shows this past weekend. I am also told the report about @WWEDanielBryan and @JohnCena backing out of the Saudi show are legit.

The source further elaborated, of how @JohnCena is Hollywood now and has a certain public image to uphold – it wouldn’t be a good look for him to be shaking hands with those guys after what’s transpired. #WWECrownJewel https://t.co/r9NAQ0Ywr2

It will be VERY interesting to see if #WWE is able to convince @WWEDanielBryan and @JohnCena to make the trip to Saudi Arabia for #WWECrownJewel. They are critical parts of the show, which is currently scheduled to take place in only 11 days. https://t.co/I5BM6MJ9FX
