Braun Strowman Reacts To Roman Reigns Announcement & Sends Heartfelt and Emotional Message To His Friend
As we saw last night on WWE Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns made a very emotional announcement that the leukemia he has been living with for 11 years has returned. Because of his upcoming battle with this disease he will be unable to fulfill his obligations as Universal Champion so he announced that effective immediately he was relinquishing the belt.
After Roman left the ring following his heartfelt speech, he headed back to the backstage area and was met at the gorilla position by many superstars and officials. One of those present was his onscreen rival Braun Strowman. Reigns and Strowman hugged and exchanged some words as Roman was making his round of goodbyes before leaving the arena.
Braun Strowman took to instagram following this and shared a very emotional and passionate message for Roman as he embarks on this new chapter and battle with leukemia. Regarding Roman Reigns and his upcoming fight against cancer, Strowman said:
“I’ve been in many wars with this man. He’s been my biggest rival on tv!!!! But behind the scenes, he’s one of my closest friends!!!! He’s is one of the toughest men I’ve ever met and I have no doubt he’ll kick leukemia’s ass and be back to battling with me soon and I can’t wait. You and your family are in my prayers. Love you Big UCE!!!!! #FUCancer”
