The Likely Time As To When WWE Decided To Turn Both Dean And Elias On RAW
This week’s Monday Night RAW was a memorable one. Not only for Roman’s heartbreaking leukaemia announcement but also the fact that both Elias and Dean Ambrose turned on the same night.
Elias turned face by hitting Baron Corbin with his guitar, and Dean turned heel when he attacked Seth Rollins after winning the RAW Tag Titles.
On the latest audio update from Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer discussed how both of their turns were planned in advance, to a certain extent but they weren’t supposed to happen this week. Hence Reigns’ announcement definitely had an impact. This is what he said:
“They turned Elias, they turned Dean Ambrose. I don’t know if either of them was scheduled originally. The Dean Ambrose one was going to go but it wasn’t going to be this week.”
“You can debate that aspect of it whether it’s the right or wrong thing to do. From a business and emotional standpoint, this was the week to do it. The reason it was the week to do it from a business and emotional standpoint kind of makes you mad that they went that way and did it. But that’s business.”
“I don’t know that Elias was going to do a turn this week but they obviously need some babyfaces you know, last week they needed heels this week they need babyfaces. Elias was going to turn at some point, so that was done this week.”
With these huge changes in WWE in just a single night, WWE has a lot of work to do in order to make the most of the situation. We will have to wait and see.
