What Does WWE Have Planned For The RAW Tag Team Championships Following Ambrose Heel Turn On Rollins After Their Title Win
As we saw on RAW last night, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose defeated Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre to become the new RAW Tag Team Champions.
Following their title victory Dean Ambrose turned on his partner and friend Seth Rollins, which saw Ambrose brutally attack Seth and leave him laying outside the ring in the time keepers area. Ambrose then took the Tag Belts and threw them down at Rollins before leaving through the crowd as RAW went off the air.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez was asked about what WWE will now do with the RAW Tag Team Championships after Ambrose’s heel turn on Rollins following their title win in last night’s RAW Main Event, and subsequently throwing the belts down and leaving them with his former friend and partner. Alvarez responded to the question by saying that of course he doesn’t know for sure, but he went on to speculate as to how WWE could possibly book the storyline surrounding the RAW Tag Team titles going forward.
Alvarez said, “I have no idea. They made sure to change the titles and shoot an angle so now we either have the tag champions who hate each other or the titles will just be vacated.”
Currently the RAW Tag Team Championships are still NOT scheduled to be defended on next month’s Crown Jewel PPV event from Saudi Arabia, so WWE has some time to work out a plan for the belts from here.
However, we would like to point out that the current RAW Tag Team Champions listed on WWE’s official website are Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins. Which would indicate that despite Ambrose turning on Rollins and ending their partnership that their RAW Tag Team Title win has been made official and Ambrose & Rollins are recognized as the champs going forward.
