Who Will Be Alexa Bliss’ Replacement For Evolution If She Is Not Cleared To Compete
As we reported yesterday, WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss reportedly suffered a concussion over the weekend during her match Saturday night at the WWE Live Event in Hartford, Connecticut. Alexa missed Sunday’s WWE Live event Supershow in Boston, and was not seen or featured on last night’s episode of RAW from Providence either.
With Alexa Bliss now having suffered a concussion a week prior to the upcoming WWE Evolution PPV, it appears as though her status for her tag team match with Mickie James against the team of WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita could be in jeopardy. At one point Bliss was booked in a singles match against Stratus, and Mickie James was also in a singles match against Lita, however due to the arm injury which Alexa was dealing with earlier in the month the match was changed to a tag team match instead. But now, it appears as though Alexa may not be able to work the Evolution PPV if she is unable to clear concussion protocol.
Last night on RAW we saw a backstage segment that featured Trish Status and Lita, which saw the two attack and beat down Mickie James and Alicia Fox. Which appears to be the possible ground work for a replacement for Bliss if she is unable to compete on Sunday.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the reason Alicia Fox was put into that segment last night on RAW was because she is in fact the backup plan to replace Alexa Bliss in the tag match on Sunday if she is not cleared for in-ring action.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding Alexa Bliss injury status and availability for Evolution following the concussion she reportedly suffered over the weekend.
