WWE Reportedly Making Their Final Decision Regarding Status & Plans For Upcoming Crown Jewel PPV On Wednesday
As we have been reporting, there is a lot of controversy surrounding the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel PPV schedule for November 2nd from Saudi Arabia.
With two of WWE’s top Superstars in John Cena and Daniel Bryan reportedly refusing to go to Saudi Arabia, as well as displeasure from production crew and concerns from many other Talents, the scheduled Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia next month is in serious jeopardy.
According to a new report from The Wrap’s Tony Maglio, WWE will be making their decision regarding their stance on the Crown Jewel PPV event on Wednesday. He adds that WWE has been waiting for Turkey to release evidence in relation to the death and kidnapping of American Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which was said to be released on Tuesday (today). WWE is expected to make their final decision about what to do with their big Crown Jewel event after they can take the new evidence promised by Turkey into consideration.
Regarding WWE’s final decision on the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV, Maglio said:
“Due to time zone differences, WWE will likely not have a decision before Tuesday night’s “SmackDown” episode. But the brass are expected to make a call on Wednesday.”
As we mentioned earlier WWE continues to promote their scheduled Crown Jewel event, even including and mentioning John Cena as appearing on the event despite the company telling creative that Cena has refused to work the event. It is believed that the company hopes Cena and Bryan reconsider their positions concerning their appearance on the event, as well as covering their bases in case a change in location is made instead.
