Update On Shane McMahon’s Reported WWE Future
We saw the return of Shane McMahon to television last week during WWE’s SmackDown 1000 after having been not seen on the television since the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV event from Saudi Arabia back in April. Shane took a big bump when he went through the announce table at ringside after coming off the top turnbuckle.
Shane was written off tv because he needed time to recover after suffering from a case of diverticulitis, as well as needing to undergo surgery to repair a hernia. News of Shane needing hernia surgery broke prior to WrestleMania 34 when he spent time in the hospital to treat his diverticulitis, but Shane postponed the surgery so that he could still compete at WrestleMania 34 and The Greatest Royal Rumble later that month.
With Shane McMahon returning at SmackDown 1000 to seemingly pick up where he left off in his role as SmackDown LIVE Commissioner, and then again on last night’s SmackDown, it now appears as though he is back and will be appearing regularly going forward.
According to a new report from PWInsider, they have been told that Shane McMahon will indeed be returning to his regular on-air role as SmackDown Commissioner, and that he will be featured as regular part of the show from here out.
