On this week’s RAW, Roman Reign shocked everyone when he announced that he was suffering from leukaemia for 11 years and it came back, so he had to relinquish his Universal Title so that he could take some time and beat it.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins knew about Roman’s announcement. Except, they were only aware of him relinquishing the title and not the reason behind it. Even Michael Cole, who usually knows what’s going on, knew just as much as them and they would get to know the full story on-air.
It is reported that Seth Rollins and Nia Jax were the most affected by this shocking announcement, backstage. It was a very emotional moment on RAW and definitely one of the most heartbreaking moments in the entirety of RAW’s history.
Roman is a fighter, so we know he will do this best to beat it and come back stronger than ever. We wish him a speedy recovery.
