There have been rumors and reports of the possibility that WWE is planning on introducing new Women’s Tag Team Championships at some point. It had been heavily rumored and speculated that the announcement was going to be made at Evolution, however the event came and went without any “historic” announcements.
It has even been reported that WWE has handed out signs to fans at RAW and SmackDown LIVE events in the past featuring messages which promote the idea of fans demanding Women’s Tag Titles. In addition we have seen WWE Superstars and even Stephanie McMahon openly discussing or teasing the possibility of WWE introducing Women’s Tag Titles as of late.
To continue to fuel the fire is the fact that apparently WWE was once again handing out signs to fans at Evolution on Sunday which read “We Want Women’s Tag Championships”. Twitter user @VitoLiranzo, he and many others in attendance at Evolution were handing these signs to hold up during the event, despite their being no mention or announcement of any new titles.
