The Reason For Becky Lynch Retaining Her Title At WWE Evolution
WWE Evolution was a night to remember due to all the great matches it had. The best one being the Last Woman Standing match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, where the two gave everything but the kitchen sink in order to secure the win and become Smackdown Live Women’s Champion. Becky was victorious in that intense match, thus retaining her title.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez gave reasons for why she retained the title. This is what he had to say:
“I had not thought of that but in fact, that makes sense because when that match was over the first thing I thought was that they’re giving Becky a big win here because they’re going to take the title off of her probably at the next pay-per-view. Obviously, it’s not going to be the next pay-per-view but my guess would be at TLC.”
“But that makes sense because they’re doing champion vs champion and I’m sure they don’t want Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte until WrestleMania. So yeah, I think that’s one of the big reasons that happened on Sunday night.”
It will be a classic in the making when both champions face off at Survivor Series. The reason is logical as they are saving up Charlotte to perhaps end Rousey’s undefeated streak. Charlotte isn’t a stranger to defeating streaks, as she had ended Asuka’s undefeated streak at Wrestlemania this year.
