WWE Title Match Between AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan Takes Place On Smackdown Live
As reported earlier, Daniel Bryan will no longer be appearing for WWE Crown Jewel event owning to moral reasons and his dislike in going to Saudi Arabia due to all the controversy. So instead of having a replacement for Styles at Crown Jewel, the match took place on this week’s Smackdown Live.
This was a genuine surprise and honestly the best decision as fans got to see a fantastic match on Smackdown Live, which they might never have been able to otherwise. After a confrontation between the two earlier in the night, Shane McMahon came down and announced that the two would face off against each other in a WWE Title match.

Bryan and Styles put on an absolute clinic and tore the house down, each giving their best moves on each other in a match that will go down in Smackdown’s history as one of the best matches ever on the brand.

Towards the end, AJ countered a submission move by Bryan into the calf crusher, making Bryan submit and thus retaining his title. Some might be disappointed that Bryan didn’t win, but perhaps he will someday in the future. For now, our champion is AJ Styles, who continues to have an impressive title reign.
