Kurt Angle Reveals How He And Vince McMahon Parted And Reconciled With Him
Kurt Angle is in Saudi Arabia to participate in the World Cup at WWE Crown Jewel event. He was the general manager of RAW ever since he came back to WWE. He had received the Hall of Fame and was welcomed back with open arms after he returned to the company after over a decade since leaving the company in 2006.
But Angle and Vince McMahon didn’t always have a good relationship. He apparently had left WWE on very bad terms but thankfully, all is well now. He spoke to Al Arabiya English, where he went on to explain how his parted ways with WWE and finally came back. This is what he said:
“We had a terrible parting. A lot of it was my fault, but we didn’t speak for a long time. Coming back was—we both wanted it, but the timing wasn’t right until it happened when it did. Vince was always a father figure to me, so I always look to him as a father. He never stopped being that.”
“When I came back, he hugged me, said welcome back, you’re part of the family, and let’s forget what happened. We had a horrible day on the day that I got released—the day I asked for my release. It was a horrible day. Vince and I didn’t talk after that. It’s nice to have mended up, to have realized that we’re both bigger than that. We can move on. Vince has always been good to me, and he continues to be that to this day.”
Of course, everyone is glad Kurt is back in WWE since he’s a legend and still has got what it takes to compete with the best of them. We will have to see how he performs at the World Cup.
