Brock Lesnar Reportedly Not Appearing At UFC 230
It had previously been reported that Brock Lesnar was rumored to be appearing at the upcoming UFC 230 PPV event tonight from Madison Square Garden. However, those reports appear to be inaccurate, as it is now being reported that Lesnar will not be in attendance tonight for UFC 230.
According to a report from our friend Brad Shepard, he states that Brock will not be appearing at tonight’s UFC ppv, and that Dana White had originally wanted Brock to do a confrontation with the winner of tonight’s Daniel Cormier vs. Derrick Lewis Heavyweight Title fight. However, the NYSAC shut that idea down, saying that they did not want to risk having another potential “McGregor/Khabib” incident.
Shepard states, “It looks like Dana White has now confirmed what I eluded to early yesterday, that Brock Lesnar will NOT be at #UFC230. Dana wanted Brock to appear but the New York State Athletic Commission put the kibosh on it because they didn’t want another potential Khabib/McGregor incident.”

The plan was for Brock to do a run-in and get into it with DC again. The NYSAC didn’t want it to escalate into a Khabib/McGregor situation. #UFC230 https://t.co/uXuGbUgNk0

The tweet below will be a hard pill for anti-#WWE #UFC fans to swallow. Yes, it was the literal “plan.” Dana White has learned well from Vince McMahon. https://t.co/GenHCKSMrU

Considering the NYSAC’s historical attitude towards MMA, I would be surprised if Dana White was able to change their minds – would seem like perhaps the least likely state for that. The blowback could be tremendous if a major incident occurs. #UFC230

The truth is that nobody cares about Brock Lesnar appearing in the crowd or hanging out backstage to finalize business dealings. If he’s there, they want to see him confront DC or they don’t really care. #UFC230 https://t.co/dNuckrtB64
