WWE Crown Jewel saw Brock Lesnar becoming a 2-time Universal Champion after he decimated Braun Strowman in quick fashion and picked up the win. He would pin Braun after 5 F5s.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained how Brock Lesnar won’t be working full-time but once again as a part-timer, with two appearances following Crown Jewel. This is what he said:
“Lesnar is signed for at least 2 more appearances. You always knew there’s a chance because how many times are you going to surprise people with Lesnar winning without people going, ‘Well there’s always a chance.’ So Lesnar is signed for at least 2 more appearances. He’s going to face AJ at Survivor Series which is non-title and the plan is for Strowman whether that’s at Rumble or Mania — I don’t know.”
“I can see Strowman winning the Rumble and facing Lesnar at Mania. I could definitely see that.”
So it’s another mundane championship run from Lesnar unless he drops it eventually. We will have to wait and see what happens next.
