Former NOAH and ROH champion, Takeshi Morishima, was arrested for assaulting a taxi driver after refusing to pay his fare.
Yahoo Japan reported the following:
Police arrested Takashi Morishima (40), a self-proclaimed professional wrestler named Dr. Takashi Morishima, who was arrested for injury due to injuries caused by beating a taxi driver and causing serious injury. When he gets off, he said he refused to pay about 18,000 yen, and acknowledged the investigation that he was “pushing in response to charges.” He said he was not drinking. The arrest went on suspicion of arrest at about 11:30 pm on Sunday at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Ward Kabukicho street by beating a face of a driver in his 50s male and suffering a serious injury such as a left cheek fracture.
Morishima was teasing a return to the ring but later pulled out of the event.
