Brock Lesnar became a 2-time Universal champion when he decimated Braun Strowman with 5 F5s at WWE Crown Jewel event. But it seems to be a temporary thing due to Roman’s announcement.
On Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast, Joe Peisich mentioned how Brock is scheduled to wrestle for two more dates and he won’t be defending the title at Survivor Series. So whenever he does defend it, he will most likely drop the title. This is what he said:
“Brock Lesnar signed an extra 2-match deal with WWE. One of them will be against at Survivor Series — he’ll take on AJ Styles. One of them will most likely be WrestleMania or Royal Rumble where he probably will take on Braun Strowman.”
“If I were WWE, I would book Braun Strowman to win the Royal Rumble and let him win the title at WrestleMania.”
So it looks like they will eventually make Braun the champion and have him be the face of the company, in Roman’s absence. Which is what should happen. We will have to wait and see how this goes on.
