Top NJPW Star Rejected Offer From WWE Earlier This Year
According to a report from Tokyo Sports as translated by Chris Charlton, NJPW’s Top Star Tetsuya Naito was apparently offered a WWE contract following the company’s Dominion event back in June of this year.
Naito rejected WWE’s offer, choosing to stay with NJPW saying that he didn’t give it a thought. Naito went on to say that the New Japan ring is already the number 1 stage in the world and that the fans know this as well. He added that he feels the company should focus on their home crowd before they look international.
