Shane McMahon shocked the world when he replaced an ”injured” Miz in the finals of the World Cup at WWE Crown Jewel and went on to defeat Dolph Ziggler and win the tournament, thus becoming The Best In The World. This was met with disapproval and he had major heat on him which was the likely outcome, as no one wanted this to happen.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned ”Shane McMahon’s going to be a heel but he’s not yet it’s a slow build.”
The idea being that Shane is obvious to all the heat he has been receiving, eventually turning him. So we will have to wait and see how his inevitable heel turn happens and what it will mean for Smackdown.
